Apple Picking

Today we went up to Hillcrest Orchards near Ellijay to go Apple Picking. It was a little overcast and sprinkly, but not too bad while we were walking around.

This place was pretty awesome. You can pick your own apples. There was a petting farm with pygmy goats and chickens running free. You could hold baby chicks and kittens, and see a baby cow and pig.

We got a big bag full of apples, petted all the animals, milked a cow and picked up some Apple Cider donuts (my favorite, plus, my sugar was low).

Maggie got to milk the cow. She was totally into it, even though the much older boy before her was freaked out.
There were a bunch of playgrounds (and a putt-putt course) but after Maggie went down one slide we realized that everything was a little too damp and muddy for playing. Next year...

We got a lovely lunch and some girls came by giving away cupcakes, which Maggie (and Mama) enjoyed greatly.

Oh, she also got to ride a cow.
