Slackers

Ok, we know, Mama and Bebe are blogging slackers. To be fair, my life has been consumed by the Barry Manilow musical for the last few weeks and Ali had to pick up my slack around the house... but enough excuses.
Maggie is awesome, but of course we all know that ;-)
She is running around the place excitedly in her new big girl sneakers. They had to create a new room at her daycare because she (and a few of the kids a little older than she) is too old for the baby room but not quite ready to sit at a desk and learn things. She loves it, and she came home saying "thank you" so we're pleased. We have a very polite 1-year-old. She says "help, please" when she wants things (mostly food) and "thank you" when she hands you things. We're still working on logistics.
Here is a smattering of pictures from the last month.

First we have playing in the backyard with Mama and Murphy:

One day during tech Ali and Maggie met me for a Fat Matt's dinner. When they dropped me off Maggie decided to help wardrobe with the laundry basket...
It's almost as cute as the day they visited during rehearsals and Maggie helped Haylee bring in the trash cans (no one could get a camera out fast enough to get that one, unfortunately).

A couple of weeks ago Maggie wasn't feeling too well, another ear infection. She carried her two bedtime favorites around: "Raggy" the Raggedy-Ann doll (thanks, Mimi) and her blanket (thanks, Shawna).

She dumped all the giant legos out of their bin so she could get in it.

She's also getting really good at climbing into her chair. She will push it over near the couch where Ali is sitting and then get in it so she can sit like a big girl. She has also managed to climb up into her high chair without assistance, which is a little disconcerting.

 Baby's first sword... thanks, Mama.
