We went to a newborn class yesterday. It in and of itself
was not terribly helpful; most of the information shared we had already read in
one of our many books. The most illuminating moment was hearing a woman
who was going into active labor wail, howl and cry as she was being
wheeled into the maternity ward. Ali was not the only pregnant woman who
turned a little green (and I was not the only partner whose eyes grew
to be saucer-sized).
Nothing terribly important to report, although Ali has been having mild contractions about once an hour since yesterday and has had a few not-so-mild ones this evening. She read that walking helps, so she's been pacing around the house in circles and it's making me a little dizzy. Murphy keeps following her and I know she's getting dizzy.
